Lead SW Architect

Be part of an exciting start-up on the cutting edge of technology. Sensible 4 builds the software that powers the cars of the future, today. As a lead software architect, you will be defining the architecture and design principles of our autonomous driving software stack.
You will be part of the Safety and Quality team and you will work in close co-operation with our system architects and safety engineers. The architecture work includes defining, tracking and updating architecture description of the automated driving system and leading software architecture and design discussions with feature team SW designers.
We expect you to have a experience in SW architecture work and a willingness to share your expertise with the rest of the team. For this position you will also benefit from experience in working with safety critical complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining, tracking and updating architecture description of the automated driving system
- Lead software architecture and design discussions
- Support development of system’s software requirement specification
- Research and interpret data, define functional design requirements and architecture
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes
- Collaborate closely with the teams to ensure the design process is aligned with the system and software architecture
What is expected in the role:
- Coordinating interfaces between modules
- Handling technical diversity and performing impact analysis of emergent changes
- Design robustness for future uncertainty due changes in operations and stakeholder needs
- Developing the system architecture towards operational independency between modules
- Handling asynchronous life-cycles of different software components and interfaces
What we expect from you
- Advanced knowledge of C++ software language
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, design standards and modern development processes
- Advanced level knowledge of standard systems engineering best practices in requirements development, requirements management, requirements traceability, and architecture diagrams
- Proficient knowledge of multimodal sensor usage
- Proficient knowledge of engineering fundamentals in software, networking, electrical, mechanical systems and system components
- Experience from safety critical SW systems
- Agile mindset
- Great communication and technical organization skills
What we consider a plus
- Knowledge about automotive and robotics control software
- Proficient knowledge of functional safety analysis processes (HAZOP, FMEA, STPA, FTA)
- Familiarity with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
- Knowlegde about Machine Learning
