Sensible 4, a Finnish company developing all-weather autonomous driving for industrial and defense vehicles, announces that Outrider Mobility AB has joined as a strategic investor and partner to support the company’s next phase of commercial growth.
Outrider Mobility is a Sweden-headquartered advisory firm focused on helping mobility companies grow through consumer insight, with presence in Denmark and Malaysia. Co-founded by Dr. Umar Zakir Abdul Hamid, Markus Tauriainen and Chris Hillman, the team brings experience across global expansion, product strategy, design, operations and commercialization in the mobility and automotive sectors.
Sensible 4 recently relaunched under a new ownership team after acquiring all core assets of the original company, including patents, software, trademarks and product rights. The company now focuses on retrofitting industrial and defense vehicles with its DAWN™ universal autonomy suite, designed to operate reliably in demanding environments such as mines, ports, construction and defense sites.
Outrider Mobility joined Sensible 4 at a pre-revenue stage. Since then, Sensible 4 has reached six ongoing deployments, expects to reach a multi-million-euro ARR level next year, and is booking its first recurring revenue, with cash arriving in December this year. At this stage, strengthening the leadership team with additional strategic and operational capacity is key to turning this traction into a scalable business.
Through the partnership and sweat equity, Outrider Mobility is providing management-level support on a full-time and part-time basis. The team is contributing in areas including commercial strategy, market entry, product positioning, customer work and operational planning, as Sensible 4 scales deployment of its retrofit autonomy solutions with customers in Europe, the Middle East, the US and beyond. The collaboration does not include board seats; the focus is on day-to-day execution with the management team.
Outrider Mobility co-founder Dr. Umar Zakir Abdul Hamid previously headed product, engineering and strategy for autonomous planning and control at the original Sensible 4, helping bring its all-weather autonomy stack from research into commercial projects. Outrider Mobility’s involvement adds deep knowledge of both Sensible 4’s patented technology and its industrial use cases, as well as a relevant international network across OEMs, operators and ecosystem partners.
Sensible 4 is currently raising a bridge round to accelerate deliveries on existing projects, prepare to support fleets of up to 100 vehicles next year, and get ready for a Series A funding round, which is planned to open in February 2026 with a target closing in the second half of 2026.
Ahmed Abdelazim, CEO of Sensible 4, said: “Outrider Mobility came in when we were still pre-revenue and chose to commit time and expertise rather than stay at arm’s length. Their mix of commercial, operational and product experience fits well with our technology focus. As we move from a handful of deployments towards multi-million ARR and larger fleets, having a partner that understands both our industry and our technology this well is extremely valuable. We appreciate having them involved at this stage.”
Markus Tauriainen, Co-Founder of Outrider Mobility, said: “We are pleased to join Sensible 4 as a strategic investor and partner. The team has built and proven an autonomy platform that works in demanding, real-world conditions. Our role is to support the leadership team with clear market insight, commercialization know-how and hands-on guidance so that more customers can benefit from the technology, and to help the company prepare for the scale-up ahead.”
This partnership supports Sensible 4’s goal of delivering autonomous mobility solutions that are practical to deploy, retrofit-ready and suitable for harsh environments where safety, uptime and predictable operations are critical.
